Privacy Disclosure Statement and Consent

I/We consent to you using Personal Information, financial information and Credit Information about me/us for the purpose of:

  • Arranging or providing credit
  • Providing credit assistance
  • Insuring credit
  • Direct marketing of products and services offered by you or any affiliated organisation

These organisations may contact me/us, including by telephone and electronically. I/We acknowledge that you may receive a fee or commission for referring me/us to a product or service provider, such as an insurance provider.

In this document, "you" refers to: Australian Finance Group Ltd (AFG), each subsidiary of AFG, the Appointed Credit Service Provider and their organisation, and any assignees or transferees of the commissions related to any credit provided to me/us.

“Personal Information” includes any sensitive information (including health information) and any details I/we provide about any vulnerability.

The Personal Information provided by me/us will be held by you. I/We can obtain a copy of AFG’s Privacy Policy at www.afgonline.com.au. The policy includes details on how to access or correct my information, how it is managed, and how to make a complaint.

If I/we do not provide the requested Personal Information, you may be unable to assist in arranging finance or providing services.

Disclosure of Personal Information

You may disclose my/our Personal Information to entities, some located overseas (including the USA, Canada, Malaysia, India, Ireland, the UK, Serbia, and the Philippines), such as:

  • Credit providers or service/product providers
  • Financial consultants, accountants, lawyers, and advisers
  • Industry bodies, tribunals, courts for complaint resolution
  • Entities required by law
  • Associated/related entities and contractors (e.g. IT, mailing houses, lawyers)
  • Referees such as employers
  • Potential business purchasers
  • Organisations verifying identity
  • Credit reporting bodies and other credit providers

Credit Information

I/We authorise you to receive Credit Information from any lender and provide relevant parties (e.g. real estate agent, lawyer, conveyancer) with information about whether finance has been approved, including the terms and approval letter.

I/We appoint you as our agent to obtain Credit Information (consumer and commercial credit eligibility information) from credit reporting bodies, to assist with providing services including credit assistance.

“Credit Information” includes: identity information, credit type and terms, repayment history, defaults, court data, financial hardship, insolvency, fraud, and credit infringements. “Credit Eligibility Information” refers to reporting information received from credit bodies and anything derived from it.

Receiving Information Electronically

I/We consent to receiving credit assistance and loan documentation electronically. I/We understand that:

  • Paper documents may no longer be provided
  • Electronic communications must be checked regularly
  • This consent can be withdrawn at any time

Video or Audio Conference Recording

I/We consent to you collecting Personal Information, financial information and Credit Information via video or audio conference, and consent to those recordings being shared with relevant parties (e.g. credit providers, insurers, government agencies) as needed.
